Full Text of JOE Listing:

The University of Notre Dame Hesburgh Libraries seek an Economics and Data Librarian in the Navari Family Center for Digital Scholarship (NFCDS). Launched in 2013, the NFCDS provides digital scholarship expertise to faculty and students across disciplines via outreach, instruction, consultation, and research collaboration. Endowed with a $10 million gift by the Marilyn & Rudolph M. Navari Charitable Foundation, the Navari Family CDS occupies an 8000 square foot facility within the flagship library of the University of Notre Dame. Its faculty publish major scholarly research, and have embedded themselves in undergraduate- and graduate-level courses, and teach their own credit-bearing seminars. To support these activities, the NFCDS offers specialized technologies and technology-enriched spaces, including a legacy technology collection, computer stations with specialized software, a makerspace, and a visualization studio. With established partnerships campus-wide, the Navari Family CDS serves as a hub that enhances the teaching, learning, and research processes across academic disciplines. The successful Economics and Data Librarian will be responsible for quantitative data analysis, consultation, and teaching through the NFCDS. They will also serve as the primary representative of the library to the Department of Economics.
