University of Michigan’s Survey Research Center (https://www.src.isr.umich.edu/) within the Institute for Social Research invites applications from scientific leaders in the area of population-based health and aging to join the leadership team of The Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) (www.psidonline.org). We seek a Research Professor who would thrive in our entrepreneurial, interdisciplinary, collegial, yet highly autonomous culture. The ideal candidate is a scientific leader as demonstrated by a history of successful NIH grant-writing, a demonstrated focus analyzing large-scale survey data, and a successful record of entrepreneurial activity to support innovative data collection and research. Prior experience managing survey design, fieldwork, web-based collection, or other aspects of data production and dissemination are highly desirable.

The successful candidate will collaborate with PSID’s team of Directors to maintain the study’s strengths and to plan strategically for evolution and innovation in order to remain at the forefront of health and aging research. Applicants must have a doctoral degree. Individuals from groups historically under-represented in the social sciences are strongly encouraged to apply.
