The Econlit abstract of this book begins: "Presents lecture notes from Jacob Viner's Economics 301 class as taught at the University of Chicago in 1930. The late Viner was Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago and Princeton University. Irwin is John Sloan Dickey Third Century Professor in the Social Sciences at Dartmouth College. Medema is Professor of Economics at the University of Colorado, Denver."
