CSWEP At-Large: Jonathan Guryan

Jonathan Guryan is Professor of Human Development and Social Policy, Faculty Fellow at the Institute for Policy Research and a courtesy member of the Economics Department and the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. He is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a co-founder and co-director of the Education Lab in the Urban Labs at the University of Chicago. Prior to joining the Northwestern faculty in 2010, he was on the faculty of the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business from 2000 to 2010. In 2009, he received the John T. Dunlop Outstanding Scholar Award from the Labor and Employment Relations Association. Before joining Northwestern, he was on the faculty of the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. Much of his research falls into two main categories, understanding the sources and consequences of racial inequality and the economics of education.
