CSMGEP: Ebonya Washington, co-chair

Ebonya Washington is Professor of Economics at Columbia University and Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Before Columbia, she was a professor at Yale University. She received her PhD from MIT in 2004. She specializes in public finance and political economy with research interests in the political efficacy of low-income and minority constituents and the processes through which low-income Americans meet their financial needs. Her work has appeared in numerous refereed journals including the Quarterly Journal of Economics and the American Economic Review.
