Job Description:
The School of Business Administration is seeking to hire a visiting faculty member in Economics for a one-year position, starting on August 15, 2024. The teaching load for this position is 7 courses (3-4). The courses to be taught include Managerial Economics, Labor Economics (titled Economics of Human Resources at OU), and Economics of Health Care. It is expected that the visiting faculty member will have two different course preparations each term. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree or the ABD status in Economics or related fields.

School/College/Dept Summary:
Situated within the School of Business Administration, the Department of Economics provides three degrees in economics (BA, BS, and BS in Business Economics) and two degrees in Actuarial Sciences (BS and BS in Business Actuarial Sciences), offered in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Additionally, the department offers a minor in economics. With a dedicated team of 12 tenure-track faculty members, we prioritize excellence in teaching and research. A significant portion of our graduates secure employment opportunities in Southeast Michigan, reflecting the department's strong ties to the regional job market and commitment to student success.
