Full Text of JOE Listing:

Position: Temporary (Spring 2023) Part-Time Lecturer. This is a part-time, 4-month lecturer appointment.

Location: Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville or remote.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach Microeconomic Applications to Agricultural and Resource Markets (AREC 550), a three credit hour graduate course in microeconomic concepts, tools, and decision making approaches for agricultural and natural resource markets; competitive market analysis, strategies by sellers, including price and non-price competition, vertical coordination, market segmentation, and advertising; examination of demand and buyer behavior, including market participation, contingent valuation, and willingness to pay; role of information and innovations in markets for the Spring 2023 semester.

Qualifications: Ph.D. (or one year away from graduation) in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Marketing, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will have prior teaching experience.
