Full Text of JOE Listing:

The UNC School of Government Criminal Justice Innovation Lab is accepting applications for a Research Director. The Lab seeks to promote a fair and effective criminal justice system, public safety, and economic prosperity through an evidence-based approach to criminal justice policy. It brings together diverse stakeholders to learn about criminal justice problems, supports them in developing and implementing solutions, and conducts empirical evaluations to measure their impacts. The Research Director’s responsibilities include: directing the Lab’s portfolio of research projects; developing organizational research priorities; managing the Lab’s statewide database of court system records; conducting policy research and program evaluations; and assisting with dissemination activities and grant writing.

Required qualifications:
• PhD in economics, criminology, criminal justice, public policy, or related field
• 3-5 years of research experience
• 2 years of experience in criminal justice field
