The Department of Economics in the Poole College of Management of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in an applied microeconomics field studying topics such as labor, education, aging, economic demography, health, empirical industrial organization, or market design.

Responsibilities include: maintain a successful research agenda that produces publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals; be an effective teacher at the graduate and undergraduate levels; participate in research with graduate students; supervise PhD dissertations; and provide service to the department, college and university.

Subject to budget contingencies, the appointment will begin on August 16, 2022. Applicants should hold a PhD by that date.
