The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business Tenure/Tenure-Track Faculty Position(s) in Economics

What we’re looking for in the Department of Economics
The Economics Department at the University of Iowa invites applications for one or more senior scholars at the ranks of Full Professor level in applied microeconomics starting August 17, 2022. Advanced Associate Professors with the potential for promotion upon appointment are encouraged to apply. We are in the process of building up our applied microeconomics group. Beyond the five existing faculty members in applied microeconomics and econometrics, we plan on extensive hiring over the next five years. Beyond outstanding scholarship, the ideal candidate will play a central role in hiring new members for our applied microeconomics group, leading the applied microeconomics group, and mentoring PhD students and junior faculty. We are open to empirical work on a broad variety of microeconomic topics and are primarily interested in the quality of scholarship and leadership an individual will bring to our department.

Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Position(s) are 100% time with benefits. Education Requirement: A Ph.D. in Economics or a related field is required.

•A record of scholarly achievement that merits an appointment to Full Professor with tenure at the University of Iowa;
•Demonstrated a record of success in teaching;
