The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £35,965 - £39,965 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The postholder will be responsible for executing the DEVORHBIOSHIP research project, and will work closely with Dr. Gabriella Conti and her team, and under the supervision of Dr. Conti. The duties will include:

Develop and estimate economic models of parental investment in child development, and of the production of health across the lifecycle, incorporating shocks and policies, and the role of biology; contribute to the writing up and dissemination of the results.

To contribute to the overall activities of the department as required.

The researcher will be appointed from April 2020 for 12 months in the first instance.

The person appointed will work at the offices of the Department of Economics, Drayton House, 30 Gordon Street, London.

Key requirements are a PhD in Economics, preferably in the Economics of Human Development and a thorough knowledge of economic theory, statistics and econometrics. Knowledge of production function estimation or structural modelling is preferred.
