The Economics Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with a primary field in Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics starting fall 2020. The successful candidate will have a strong background in applied macroeconomics and applied econometrics with specializations in JEL classifications E and C2 (with preference for C22) or E and C5 (with preference for C53).

Candidates must have a PhD in economics by August 15, 2020 and show evidence of high potential for excellence in teaching and significant research publishable in quality peer-reviewed journals. The successful candidate will also have potential for success in achieving external funding. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory courses, econometrics (data analytics), and other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Additional responsibilities include advising students, leading students’ capstone senior project, assisting in curriculum development, and participating in other departmental activities as assigned by the department chair.
