The Department of Marketing, Industrial Distribution and Economics (MIDE) seeks applicants for a full-time tenure-track professor (Assistant, Associate, Full) in Economics. Candidates for this position should: (1) hold an appropriate doctorate degree or have completed requirements for the degree by Fall 2020, (2) have a strong commitment to research and scholarship appropriate for a major university, (3) have a commitment and dedication to teaching excellence, and (4) have a strong commitment to facilitate the department’s strategic growth initiatives. Salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience.

We seek qualified candidates with evidence of research excellence and interest in one or more areas including applied microeconomics, labor, urban, health or a closely related field. The department is actively involved in business and economics research and maintains strong ties to the nationally ranked School of Medicine and School of Public Health.

The Collat School of Business, located in the heart of Alabama’s business center, has recently moved into a new, state of the art building in the Fall of 2018. The new building provides a platform for innovative content delivery along with classrooms designed for faculty and student collaboration.
