StataCorp is seeking an individual with a passion for communication, in particular, communication about Stata and about econometrics.

In this position, you will train and interact with academic and professional economists and with other social scientists. You will develop and give talks that introduce specific features of Stata. Because Stata offers a diverse set of features, talks may cover data management, graphics, time series, panel data, treatment effects, dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models, lasso, and more. The qualified applicant need not be an expert in all of these areas but must have a solid knowledge of econometrics and be excited to learn more about both Stata and advanced econometrics applications.

In addition to giving talks, this position may involve other methods of communication such as writing blog posts, interacting with Stata users on social media, and presenting webinars.

Requirements:

- Experience using Stata
- Solid knowledge of econometrics
- Passion for communication and teaching
- Travel approximately 15 weeks per year
- PhD in econometrics or economics or a masters degree

This position is based in College Station, TX.
