The Department of Economics invites applications for professoriate posts in the following fields:
i. Applied Micro Theory, and
ii. Econometrics.

Outstanding candidates in other fields may also apply.

Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree (by the time reporting for duty). For Professorship / Associate
Professorship, applicants should have an established record of publications in major economics journals. The appointee will (a) pursue academic research and publications; (b) apply for external research grants; (c) teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses according to his/her area of expertise; (d) supervise postgraduate students on their research; and (e) assist in administrative work in the department.

Appointments will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2020, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
