Full Text of JOE Listing:

We invite applications for up to two full-time, tenure-track positions in macroeconomics and international economics at the Assistant Professor rank to begin August 2020. Teaching will include intermediate macroeconomics, introductory economics, and electives that reflect candidates' expertise and departmental needs. Teaching interest and depth in international economics is desirable, as is an interest in developing off-campus, international courses. We are particularly interested in candidates who can offer electives in such fields as income distribution and poverty, economics of race and gender, urban economics, and/or money and banking. We actively seek candidates who will add to the variety of courses we offer and the research areas of our faculty so that we can continue to attract a diverse group of students to our program. The teaching load is six courses with four preparations annually.

A Ph.D. in economics is required. Candidates who expect to complete their Ph.D. by September 1, 2020, will receive full consideration.

We request that in the letter of application, candidates address their potential to contribute to the St. Olaf community in ways that enhance and support the College’s commitment to maintaining a diversity of people and perspectives.
