Auburn University’s Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of Econometrics, effective Fall 2020. A successful applicant must demonstrate strong research potential and the ability to engage in high quality teaching. We are seeking candidates who will contribute to our graduate and undergraduate curriculum in econometrics. The ability to work collaboratively with others in the department is also desirable.

The duties of this position include publishing research in peer reviewed academic journals, teaching graduate and undergraduate Econometrics courses, and performing service for the department and the profession. A Ph.D. in economics must be completed prior to the start date.

All application materials must be received by November 23, 2019 to receive priority consideration. Representatives of the Department will be available at the upcoming AEA meeting in San Diego to interview potential candidates. Final appointment is contingent upon funding and performance. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills required.
