LECTURER/SR. LECTURER positions in Economics and Finance
(Equivalent to entry-level and advanced-level Assistant Professor)
Salary range: £35,447 to £52,776 per annum (plus benefits)
Regent’s University London, the largest private not-for-profit university in the UK, located in beautiful Regent’s Park, is seeking to fill two positions, one focusing on economics, the other on finance. The post-holders will be expected to teach some general courses in their discipline, such as quantitative methods and research design, as well as general economics and finance. Particular application areas within economics and finance are not as important as the candidates’ commitment to innovative and exciting teaching, typically to small class sizes, and to the candidates’ interest in and ability to engage in high-quality research and scholarship. Ideally, candidates also will be familiar with business and industry, bringing practical applications into the classroom.
All candidates are expected to have completed a PhD, or show evidence that the award is imminent. Previous university lecturing experience is also expected, including module development and evaluation, especially for a senior lectureship. Candidates will also demonstrate an ability to relate to, motivate, and teach culturally diverse students at both the undergraduate and post-graduate levels, and to supervise bachelor’s and master’s level dissertations and projects.
This is an exciting time for the Faculty of Business and Management. It is building excellence, particularly in select areas of application, including international economics, entrepreneurial finance, investment, trading, and banking. Shortlisted candidates will be provided further details about the Faculty’s research environment and pedagogic philosophy and ambition.
Please visit our website www.regents.ac.uk/jobs to view further details and to apply online.
