Full Text of JOE Listing:

This position will manage and oversee the Tax Research unit which produces economic analysis, research and statistics on existing and proposed tax legislation and revenue forecasts to support budget decision making. This position will also serve as key member on the department leadership team for the development of tax policy proposals for the Administration and will monitor the State and National economies to identify trends and conditions that may affect the level of volatility for the State revenue sources.

This position will:

* Track and monitor economic trends;
* Produce tax policy analysis, legislative analysis and policy recommendations;
* Prepare monthly and annual reports.

The Ideal Candidate has graduate-level course work in economics or applied statistical analysis with experience in:

* Forecasting and tracking revenue and constructing statistical models
* Preparing financial reports including financial forecasting
* Economic development and local government projects
* Management

Minimum Qualification:
A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Sociology, Industrial Relations, Public Administration or Business Administration and eight (8) years of professional level experience with a strategic impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment.
