The School of Economics at the University of Kent invites applications from scholars of international distinction for a Professorial appointment in Applied Microeconomics or Microeconometrics at the University of Kent. We particularly welcome candidates who possess a strong command of micro-econometrics.

This post is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to make their mark on Economics at Kent and the wider world. You will be tasked with providing a focus and leadership in applied microeconomics research in the School and to work with colleagues to develop this research group at Kent.

You will have a clear international profile, a reputation for excellence and an outstanding record of publications and research grant capture. Your work should have demonstrable impact in both academia and society.

The School has a strong research culture having been placed 16th in RAE2008 and 21st on Research Power in REF2014. The School is proud that it is highly ranked and regarded in the UK and has significant ambitions to further develop on its core strengths and reputation. Our reputation extends into teaching and learning and the School has been placed highly in a number of external league tables.
