The University of Arizona Department of Political Economy and Moral Science anticipates appointing a tenured faculty member with an appointment beginning as early as the fall of 2018. The position is contingent upon funding. Rank: Full or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will serve, for at least one five-year term, as Head of the new Department of Political Economy and Moral Science. A record of successful administration, research, and teaching is required, with a preference for candidates with a record of success as Department Head. The successful candidate will have a distinguished research record in moral and social philosophy broadly construed, “PPE” (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) or political economy. Candidates must be willing to teach both graduate level courses and courses in the Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law undergraduate major. A Ph.D. in philosophy, political science or economics is required.
