The Department of Economics in the Sam M Walton College of Business at The University of Arkansas invites applications for an opening for a tenured associate or full professor in behavioral and experimental economics beginning August, 2018.
Primary duties include teaching economics at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in outstanding scholarly publications, acting as the Director of the College’s Behavioral Business Research Laboratory (BBRL), and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University. The BBRL is a world class laboratory with a full-time manager who reports to the Director. In addition to outstanding facilities, the department has an active group of young experimental and behavioral economists. The ideal candidate is an experienced researcher who can lead and collaborate with that team.
Required Qualifications: (1) A doctoral degree in economics or a closely related field; (2) record of high quality research in experimental/behavioral economics consistent with appointment at associate/full professor; (3) demonstrated high-quality teaching in economics.
Preferred Qualifications: Applicants with high visibility in the field and a track record of externally-funded research are strongly preferred.
