The Department of Economics invites applications for two one-year visiting positions beginning August 24, 2017. The department is authorized to begin a tenure track search for these positions during the 2017-18 academic year. We seek candidates who are interested in teaching at a liberal arts institution, and whose primary fields of specialization include one or more of the following: international economics, economic development, corporate finance, or related fields. Candidates should also be willing to teach introduction to microeconomics or introduction to macroeconomics, as well as elective courses in their fields of interest and/or to participate in delivering college-wide first-year/sophomore seminars. For corporate finance candidates, the ability to teach our ECON 227 (Introduction to Finance) and ECON 427 (Theory of Finance) will be an added advantage. Although a terminal degree in Economics or related disciplines is desired by the time of appointment, advanced ABDs will be considered. Teaching load is three courses per semester.
