The Department of Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is seeking a full-time Lectureship (Assistant Professor) position in Finance starting Summer 2017.

The department offers an excellent research environment, with a high level of collegiality, generous research budgets, and subscriptions to state-of-the-art databases, a strong seminar series, and a senior visitors program. The Department of Accounting and Finance is one of the largest departments within LUMS - a world-ranked international business school that has consistently ranked among the UK's top ten universities for nearly two decades. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, LUMS was ranked first in the UK in research power and is one of few business schools whose programs are accredited by all three international business school accreditation bodies: AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB. In the latest Financial Times Global Ranking, the Lancaster MBA was ranked 35th in the world (4th in the UK). The Master in Finance was ranked 30th in the world (6th in the UK). You should have a Ph.D. in Finance or a related discipline, or should be expected to complete your Ph.D. in the near future. You should be able to pursue their own independent research and publish in high quality international journals and should be able to deliver excellent teaching in both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Candidates working in all areas of finance are welcome.
