Summary of Position:
Lead research efforts on topics of importance to the apartment industry, provide insight on government and other relevant data and support the growth of NAA’s long-term research capacity.
Principal Accountabilities:
•Coordinate the execution of specific research projects in 2016.
•Analyze data, surveys, research reports and other information from government and other sources for relevance to apartments and rental housing.
•Prepare communication tools for the analyses noted above both for internal and external audiences. Help prepare NAA leaders and staff for media engagement.
•Advise internal departments on research efforts, including lines of inquiry, data sources and analysis.
•Help craft a long-term strategy for growing NAA’s research capacity.
Position Qualifications:
Master’s degree, in economics, public policy or similar fields.
Minimum five years of experience in research and analysis for an educational institution, non-profit, trade association or business entity.
Project management experience, especially as it relates to research.
Ability to independently manage multiple projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Interest in growing internal research capabilities at a national trade association.
Preferred
Doctorate degree in economics, public policy or similar fields.
Work experience in a client-based environment.
Experience in member management
