The newly established Department of Mathematics invites applications and nominations for tenure line faculty in all ranks, in the area of financial mathematics, with an anticipated start date of August, 2016. Candidates should have demonstrated excellence in research and a strong commitment to teaching of financial mathematics. A doctoral degree is required at the time of appointment. Candidates for senior positions must have an established strong record of research and leadership in their research areas. The language of instruction can be either Chinese or English.

Salary, and start-up fund for long-term appointment, are highly competitive and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Regular faculty members (tenured and on tenure track) will be provided on campus housing with heavily subsidized rent.

About the University and the City: Established in 2012, the South University of Science and Technology (SUSTC) is a public institution funded by the municipal government of Shenzhen, a special economic zone in China.
