The department of economics at the University of Bonn is recruiting one post-doctoral researcher in microeconomic theory. The initial appointment is for two years, starting in the fall 2016, after which an extension is possible.

The position consists mainly of conducting research, interaction within the group (seminars and workshops), and limited teaching. Salaries and benefits are according to the E13 TV-L scheme. A research budget is available.

The economics department in Bonn offers an excellent environment for research in all areas of economic theory. The group consist of six senior professors and a large number of junior professors and postdocs. The group runs a weekly seminar series with international visitors, a weekly lunch seminar with internal and local speakers, and organizes international workshops on current topics. The deadline for application is January 30th but applications are considered on a rolling basis. Initial interviews will typically be conducted offsite via video-chat (skype).
