The CUHK Business School of The Chinese University of Hong Kong invites applications for the position of Assistant / Associate Professor in Real Estate in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management with prospect for substantiation. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree (or close to completion) in economics, finance or real estate from an accredited institution and must demonstrate a strong commitment to academic research and excellence in teaching.

Responsibilities: The successful candidates will teach a variety of basic and advanced-level real estate and real estate related finance and hospitality courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The candidate is expected to conduct high quality research and publish in both top tier finance and real estate journals. Candidates who expressed a distinct interest to teach main stream finance courses may be considered for joint appointment with Department of Finance. Other responsibilities at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management include rendering services to advance the real estate industry in Hong Kong and Asia.

Salary and Fringe Benefits: Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2016, which, subject to performance and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including medical care, plus a contract-end gratuity for appointments of two years or longer, and housing benefits for eligible appointees.
