As Economist at the Banking Analysis Division in the Financial Stability Department, you analyze the Swedish banking system from a risk perspective. Important elements of the work include analysis of the Swedish banks’ liquidity and solvency position and to conduct and develop stress tests. You contribute to the policy work of the financial stability department often in cooperation with other relevant authorities, both within and outside Sweden, and advise policy makers on your areas of expertise.
We are Seeking Applicants with excellent empirical or theoretical skills and strong interests in at least one of the following areas: financial stability, stress testing, identifying and measuring systemic risk, risk management, bank regulation or a comparable area in banking finance. You have or are close to obtaining a PhD in economics or finance, and have a strong interest in economic policy. Professional experience in a central bank or academia is desirable, but not a prerequisite and new PhDs will be considered.
Successful Applicants are analytical and independent thinkers, goal oriented and have good communication skills. It is important that you are a team player, and that you are able to present complex issues to policymakers effectively. The working languages are English and Swedish. Good skills in a Scandinavian language are preferred. Because you will represent the Riksbank at international meetings, excellent writing and oral skills in English are a prerequisite.
