Stetson University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Economics to begin in August 2016. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics with teaching and research interests in the areas of health and development economics. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and a track record of successful research and global expertise relating to health and/or development. The committee will prioritize candidates with interest in teaching and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.
Candidates should be committed to teaching distinctiveness and engaged in a vibrant research agenda that may involve undergraduate students. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a course in health economics, contribute to required introductory and advanced courses for majors in economics and global development and participate in multidisciplinary teaching and research.
