The Pittsburg State University (PSU) Department of Economics, Finance, and Banking (AACSB) seeks a tenure-track economics faculty member starting fall 2016, contingent on funding. General Economics position; special consideration will be given to the fields of environmental, sports, behavioral, or health economics. Priority will be given to candidates with a passion for and focus on teaching. This position offers a unique opportunity to further develop courses for the economics major and help re-shape the economics curriculum. The candidate will teach principles, intermediate theory, and electives (nine hour per semester load). Candidate is expected to participate in University service and advisement responsibilities.
The position is open to ABD applicants with an anticipated completion date by July 15, 2016, but Ph.D. is preferred. Teaching experience and record of scholarly work are highly desired. Rank dependent on prior experience. Review of applications will begin 12/02/15, and continue until the position is filled. Employment will require a criminal background check.
