The Department of Business Administration & Accounting at Hartwick College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in September 2016, pending administrative approval. We seek candidates with expertise in Management, with preference given to those with proven experience and success in teaching in a variety of delivery formats: face-to-face, online and blended formats that incorporate simulation and community based learning experiences. Minimum qualifications include a PhD in Management by the time of the appointment or a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a strong teaching record and strong potential for developing an active program of scholarship. Degrees must be from an AACSB accredited institution. Specific teaching assignments will include Introduction to Business, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Policy and Strategy, other courses to meet the needs of the department and possibly general education courses, including First Year Seminars. Teaching load will average 20 semester credit hours or their equivalent per academic year, and all faculty members teach during the College’s distinctive four-week January Term. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching, active engagement in scholarly or creative activities, and working closely with students in a small college environment.
