Accounting: The Department of Business Administration and Accounting at Hartwick College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in August 2016, pending final administrative approval. We seek candidates with expertise in Accounting, with preference given to those with business experience, strong potential for developing an active program of scholarship, and proven success teaching in the traditional classroom especially if enhanced with other delivery formats, e.g. online/blended courses, simulations or community based learning experiences. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting and a current CPA license by the time of the appointment. Degrees must be from an AACSB accredited institution. Specific teaching assignments may include Financial and Managerial Accounting, Personal and Managerial Finance, Taxation, Operations, other Accounting courses to meet the needs of the department and possibly general education courses, including First Year Seminars. Teaching load will average 20 semester credit hours or their equivalent per academic year, and all faculty members teach during the College’s distinctive four-week January Term. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching, active engagement in scholarly or creative activities, and working closely with students in a small college environment.
