The Department of Economics seeks applicants for one or two full-time positions with open rank. Exceptional candidates from all fields will be considered, however successful candidates will be able to teach general courses in economics at the principles and intermediate level (in micro or macro as appropriate), as well as mid- and upper-level elective courses. We have teaching needs especially in the following areas: game theory, fiscal policy, public economics, econometrics, labor, international macro/trade, growth, and development. Evidence of excellence in teaching and research is essential, and applicants should have a defined research agenda. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, one or more research papers, three letters of recommendation and a statement on their personal teaching philosophy as it relates to the Catholic mission of the university.
