The School of Marine & Environmental Affairs (SMEA; smea.uw.edu) at the University of Washington (UW), invites applications for a nine-month (100% FTE) tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor (0116). We seek an environmental economist whose research advances microeconomic or econometric methods and can contribute to interdisciplinary teams analyzing policy and management of coastal or marine systems. We are especially interested in applications from candidates with interests such as climate impacts; risk, uncertainty, and vulnerability; sustainability; coastal urbanization; regional economies; marine spatial planning and analysis; ecosystem service assessment and valuation; aquaculture; energy; environmental justice; nutrition and public health as it relates to ocean and coastal systems; tourism and recreation; and the emergence of the blue/green economy. A Ph.D. or foreign equivalent is required. The successful candidate is expected to lead a strong, extramurally funded research program, train graduate students, and contribute to the teaching mission of the School.
