The Department of Economics, Uppsala University invites applications for one tenure-track assistant professor position beginning no later than September 2016. The opening is for a general research position with limited teaching. We particularly encourage applicants within macroeconomics.

The Department is a highly committed research department with full scale graduate and undergraduate programs within Scandinavia’s oldest university, conveniently located only 20 minutes from Stockholm Arlanda International airport. The Department hosts several strong research groups in, e.g., labor economics, public economics and macroeconomics.

Applicants must have a PhD in Economics received after January 1, 2012, or with expected completion no later than September 2016. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the Spanish Economic Association meeting in Girona and the ASSA meetings in San Fransisco. Other arrangements may be possible for short-listed candidates not based in the US and not planning to attend the meetings.

Applicants should submit a CV, at least three letters of recommendation, and samples of research such as thesis chapters or publications. Only applications submitted at http://econjobmarket.org by November 10, 2015 will be considered.
