The Department of Economics at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Economic History at the rank of Assistant Professor. Preliminary interviews will be conducted at the January AEA meetings.

Appointment at the Assistant Professor level at full salary requires a Ph.D. as of August 2016. Faculty duties include the development of a distinguished and visible program of research as well as teaching.

Applicants for the position should use either (but not both) the AEA JOE submission system or Econjobmarket.org. Submissions should include a cover letter, CV, job market paper, statement of teaching interests and evidence of teaching effectiveness; applicants will also need to designate three references who will be contacted by the system for letters of recommendation.
