South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) is one of the largest and most technologically sophisticated environmental regulatory agencies in the nation. The work we do affects the quality of life of over 17 million people living in four Southern California counties SCAQMD headquarters is located in Diamond Bar.

We are recruiting for an Air Quality Specialist (Economist) for the Socioeconomic Unit of our Planning, Rule Development, and Area Sources (PRDAS) division, a major branch of SCAQMD. In general, the specialists perform a variety of professional level assignments by collecting cost and other socioeconomic data from internal and external sources, selecting and using appropriate tools for data management and analyses, and interpreting and presenting analysis results.

Salary Benefits: $6,419 - $7,953/mo plus an excellent benefits package.

Education/Experience Required: For this vacancy, we will screen to a bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related quantitative degree with an emphasis in economics and statistics AND two years of technical or professional analytical or air quality experience.
