The University of Redlands School of Business invites applicants for a one year temporary position in Economics. While applications from all fields of economics are considered, documented interest and/or background in any of the following fields is desirable: industrial organization, managerial economics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, environmental economics, international trade, and geographical economics.

The University of Redlands is recognized as a premiere regional liberal education institution, situated on a picturesque campus in the city of Redlands, within one hour of Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree NP, and Lake Arrowhead. The School offers innovative undergraduate and graduate degree programs at locations throughout Southern California.

This position will have significant responsibility for teaching and managing Economics courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level. At the time of appointment, each applicant should have a completed or near completed doctorate (ABD) in Economics or closely related field. All applicants should have a record of achievement in their functional area, a vibrant interest in teaching adult learners, and business education within the context of traditional liberal arts and sciences disciplines. The School of Business houses two research centers dedicated to understanding spatial aspects of business and economics: The Center for Business GIS (http://www.redlands.edu/academics/school-of-business/11264.aspx) and the Institute for Spatial Economic Analysis (http://isea.redlands.edu/). The School of Business encourages contributions to its research centers. It values and rewards applied as well as cross-disciplinary research. Practitioner experience in business-related activities is highly desirable.
