The School of Economics and Political Science of the University of St. Gallen wishes to appoint an Assistant Professor in Statistics and Econometrics (big data) as soon as possible. The position will cover the analysis of big data in Statistics and Econometrics.

To be considered for this position, applicants should have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Econometrics, or Computer Science. Since it will be a key duty of this position to build up and support a new research focusing on big data, the ideal candidate possesses a solid experience in working with huge data bases. The appointment is for 6 years (non-tenure track). Given the focus of the position, the teaching load will be light (2 SWS, i.e. 1 course per term).
