The Ohio State University Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics welcomes applications from promising or emerging scholars for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in development economics.
The appointee will be expected to establish an internationally recognized program of research, teaching, and outreach in development economics that complements one or more of Ohio State University’s Discovery Themes in food production and security, health and wellness and energy and environment. Teaching responsibilities are to be negotiated, but are expected to include teaching three courses per year, including a PhD-level course. The appointee will have an academic year (9 month) appointment with competitive salary and benefits package.
Applicants must possess a PhD in Agricultural Economics, Economics or related field, or expect to complete all degree requirements before August 1, 2015. Applications from candidates with established records of publication and research productivity will also be considered.
Review of applications will begin December 1, 2014 and continue until the position is filled. Search Committee members will be present at the 2015 ASSA Meetings in Boston to conduct preliminary interviews of selected applicants who submit complete application materials by December 1, 2014.
