The Economics Department at Purdue University invites applications for a continuous term lecturer (CTL) position beginning Fall 2015.

Candidates are expected to teach principles and intermediate-level undergraduate courses, as well as upper-division undergraduate electives. The standard teaching load for such an appointment is 24 credit hours per academic year, including some large lectures. However, the teaching assignment will involve multiple sections of the same course, so that no more than 4 distinct preparations per academic year and no more than 2 distinct preparations per semester will be required. In addition, teaching assistants will be assigned to assist with courses carrying large enrollments. A Ph.D. in economics or closely related field, as well as demonstrated excellence in teaching, is required.
