Job Duties:
The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate and maintain a commitment to teaching, producing scholarly research, and participating in service activities appropriate for the candidate’s given rank. Candidates applying for this position may have research and teaching interests in any area of economics. Candidates are expected to be versatile with an ability and willingness to teach a variety of economics courses. For those candidates whose qualifications would merit an appointment at either the Associate or Full Professor, there is the possibility of appointment as the Chair for the Division of International Banking and Finance Studies in the College. Appointment as Chair includes a Twelve Month Appointment and reduced teaching load. The Division includes faculty in the areas of Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Marketing.

Required Qualifications:
An earned doctoral degree (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in Economics. ABD with completion by time of appointment will be considered. For the Associate/Full level, the candidate must show (demonstrate) a record of high quality scholarly publications and an active research stream. Research and teaching interests in econometrics and teaching in the Ph.D. program are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual English-Spanish language skills are desirable.
