Full Text of JOE Listing:

The School of Economics at the University of Sydney is one of the primary centres for economics in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region, located in one of the most exciting cities in the world. We currently invite applications from outstanding candidates in the field of international economics for ONE Lecturer position (equivalent of Assistant Professor in North America). This will be a full time tenure-track position.

The school has a broad range of research interests in both theoretical and applied areas of Economics and Econometrics, and is responsible for undergraduate and graduate programs (up to and including PhD) in Economics and Econometrics. The successful applicant will have a completed (or near complete) PhD in Economics with a focus in any subfield of international economics.

A competitive remuneration package of AUD$110,802 - $131,575 p.a. is available (which includes a base salary of $93,629 - $111,182 p.a., leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).

Please note that all applications will be made available to permanent members of the Economics staff. Initial interviews will take place at the ASSA meetings in Boston in January 2015.
