The Department of Economics and the Institute for the Study of International Development at McGill University invite applications for a joint tenure-track position. The appointment is expected to be at the rank of Assistant Professor, but appointment at a higher rank is possible under exceptional circumstances. Candidates should have a specialization in Development Economics. For more information about the Department and the Institute, see www.mcgill.ca/economics/ and www.mcgill.ca/isid/.

Candidates should have, or expect soon to complete, a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Economics, and are expected to show evidence of exceptional promise in research and teaching effectiveness. Applications should be received by 15 November 2014 to guarantee full consideration, but will be accepted until the position is filled. The appointment begins 1 August 2015.
