Visiting Assistant Professor- International Economics
The University at Albany's Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in International Economics to teach in new professional international affairs Master's degree program to be offered in Albany and New York City. The program includes coursework in international relations, policy analysis, economics, management and quantitative methods and will prepare graduates for international careers in the public, private and non-profit sectors. The successful candidate must be able and willing to teach two required courses: a course in applied intermediate microeconomics and macro-economics designed for students who may not have an economics background; and an introductory international economics course. Additional elective courses can address topics such as "international trade policy;" "international monetary policy;" "international development policy" within the program's concentration in Global Economic Policy. Candidates must have a PhD in economics (or related degree) and demonstrated teaching performance. Applicants without research and/or teaching experience in international economics will not be considered. The successful candidate must also be willing utilize synchronous distance learning tools (e.g. videoconference) to include off-site students.
