The Department of Economics at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, invites applications for three tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning in Fall 2015. One of the openings is in Macroeconomics broadly defined (international finance, applied macroeconomics, macro-finance, macroeconomic theory). The remaining two are in applied microeconomics, and we are especially interested in candidates applying rigorous empirical methods in labor or development economics (relevant topics include health, education, labor supply, household decision making, rural development, migration).

All appointees are expected to engage in research and to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred; otherwise, some basic knowledge and a commitment to learn the language are expected.

All applicants should submit a resume and one research paper, and should also arrange for submission of three letters of recommendation. We will begin reviewing applications on October 1st; the submission deadline is November 20. We will be interviewing candidates at the ASSA meetings in Boston.
