AEA Annual Elections
. The Nominating Committee, consisting of Claudia Goldin (Chair), Susan Dynarski, Xavier Gabaix, Erica L. Groshen, Erik Hurst, Dean Karlan, Jonathan Levin, and Cecilia Rouse submitted its nominations for Vice-Presidents and members of the Executive Committee. The Electoral College, consisting of the Nominating Committee and Executive Committee meeting together, selected the nominee for President-elect. The 2016 slate of candidates for 2017 Officers is:

Congratulations to the 2016 John Bates Clark Medalist Yuliy Sannikov. Awarded annually to an economist under the age of 40, the John Bates Clark Medal recognizes outstanding research accomplishments in economics. Please join the AEA Electoral College, consisting of the Association's Honors and Awards Committee and voting members of the Executive Committee, in congratulating Yuliy Sannikov of Princeton University. The 2016 AEA Distinguished Fellows are Richard Freeman, Glenn Loury, Julio Rotemberg and Isabelle Sawhill. The Distinguished Fellow award recognizes the lifetime research contributions of up to four distinguished economists. Foreign Honorary Member awarded to Torsten Persson of Sweden, and Guido Tabellini of Italy. International Honorees of distinction are elected by the American Economic Association's Executive Committee. The annual American Economic Journal (AEJ) "Best Paper Prize" highlights the best paper published in each of the American Economic Journals: Applied Economics, Economic Policy, Macroeconomics, and Microeconomics over the last three years. Nominations are provided by AEA members, and winners are selected by the journals' editors, co-editors, and boards of editors. AEA Editor Transitions. The AEA Executive Committee is pleased to announce three new editor appointments: Esther Duflo for the American Economic Review, Alexandre Mas for the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, and Johannes Hörner for the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics. The new editors will begin in January 2017. We wish to thank our outgoing Editors Pinelopi Koujianou Goldberg, Esther Duflo and Andrew Postlewaite for their outstanding efforts devoted to making the AEA journals among the most respected scholarly journals in economics.

The AEA has a new and re-designed website to streamline navigation to the Association's priority content (journals, Annual Meeting, and JOE) and to bring current AEA research to the forefront for a wider audience.
