Description
The Paul and Marcia Wythes Center on Contemporary China (CCC) at the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate for the 2027–2028 academic year. The position is for an exceptional recent PhD whose research focuses on contemporary China from a social science perspective.
The 12-month appointment is renewable annually based on funding and other requirements. The associate must be on campus at least four days per week to participate in CCC activities and will have opportunities to collaborate with Center faculty.
The position is subject to Princeton University’s background check policy. H-1B sponsorship requiring consular processing is not available; other visa sponsorship may be available as appropriate.
Qualifications
Applicants must have completed a PhD or expect to complete one by September 1, 2027, and have no more than two years of post-PhD research experience.
