The Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne invites applications for multiple continuing academic positions in economics and econometrics at Senior Lecturer level (comparable to Assistant Professor in North America). We welcome applications from candidates in all fields of economics and econometrics, with outstanding research achievements or potential, a commitment to high-quality teaching, and the capacity to contribute to the Department’s research and graduate training activities. Appointments will reflect research excellence, teaching capability, and the Department’s overall needs.

The Department is a research-oriented academic community with more than 80 academic staff and strong undergraduate, master’s and PhD programs. Faculty are active in the international economics and econometrics research community through publications in leading journals, editorial service, graduate training and international conferences.
